Fast is a feature

You open a file manager hundreds of times a day. Every launch, every scroll, and every keystroke here is engineered to cost you nothing.

Cold launch straight into a browsable window

The engine is Rust compiled to native code. No runtime warms up, no framework loads a browser. The window appears, your folders are in it, and the keyboard already works.

Long folders are virtualized, so tens of thousands of files scroll like a handful. Search starts returning results on the first keystroke.

Everything Pro unlocks

One purchase turns Swift Salamander into a full toolkit for people who live in their files.

Save the whole window. Get it back with one key.

A workspace captures everything at once: tabs, panes, paths, sizes, even the docked terminal. Finish the invoice run, switch to photo triage, and come back tomorrow to the exact window you left.

Layout presets do the same for a single arrangement when you only need the shape, not the places.

Your buckets, next to your Documents

Connect SFTP, SMB or WebDAV directly, or pick from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon S3, Box, iCloud Drive, Proton Drive and pCloud. The picker searches 38 providers in all. A remote mounts into the sidebar and behaves like a folder: browse it, search it, drag files across it.

Native SMB browsing brings your NAS along without mounting games.

See where a terabyte went

The disk analyzer draws your drive as a sunburst. The middle is the folder you scanned, and every ring outwards is one level deeper. Click a slice to dive into it, click the middle to come back up.

Next to the rings, the largest files are ranked by size, with a running count of how many files the scan has seen. Send what you find to the trash cart and empty it in one go.

Rename two hundred files without fear

Patterns, counters, and case rules with a live before-and-after preview. Conflicts are resolved before anything touches the disk, and one ⌘Z undoes the whole batch.

Know exactly who your Mac is talking to

The network analyzer shows every live connection: which process, which host, which port, and where in the world it lands, drawn on a live map. Origins are resolved on your machine; the analyzer itself sends nothing anywhere.

Questions

What does the one-time payment include?
Every Pro feature, on up to 3 Macs, plus 12 months of updates counted from the day you buy. Every version released inside that window is yours to keep.
What happens after the 12 months?
Nothing is taken away. The app keeps working and the version you have keeps all its Pro features, forever. You simply stop receiving new releases.
How do I keep getting updates?
Another year of updates will cost $12. You can add it whenever you like, or skip years and come back. That renewal is not on sale yet. It ships later, and until it does your version keeps working as-is.
Which currency am I charged in?
Prices on this page are in USD. Checkout detects where you are and charges in your own currency: EUR, GBP, CHF and more.
Is the free version time-limited?
No. Free is a complete file manager with no expiry and no account. The 7-day trial only unlocks the Pro features so you can try them first.
